  • 3rd-12th Regatta Time In Abaco
    An exciting 10 day annual series of five boat races attracting scores of visiting sailboats to the Sea of Abaco during Bahamas Independence Week. Participants compete for over 100 bronze trophies, skillfully crafted by local Abaco sculptor, Pete Johnston. Highlights include nightly entertainment, free cocktail parties, beach picnics, cultural activities, and on July 12, a grand finale party.     A great sporting week-end. Picturesque towns on the island of Abaco become the site of road races, kids triathlon, a Sprintman race (0.5 mile swim - 15 mile bike - 3 mile run) and the feature event, the Great Abaco Triathlon, an Olympic distance event comprising 0.5 mile swim - 15 mile bike - 3 mile run.
