Orchestras and opera companies perform at the Municipal Theater in Luxembourg City. The smaller Théâtre des Capucins is the forum for dramas and comedies.

The famous Radio-Television Luxembourg Symphony Orchestra performs every other Thursday.

Luxembourg City hosts its Spring Music Festival from late March through May. During May and June, the International Music Festival takes place in Echternach. There is an open-air music and theater festival in Wiltz during July and August.

Food & Drink

Luxembourg's haute cuisine restaurants boast more Michelin stars per capita than any other country. Trout, crayfish, pike and game dishes are specialties, and in the cafes and inns you'll find smoked pork with broad beans and Ardennes ham.

The Moselle wines are excellent, as are the local beers.

Shopping

Luxembourg is known for Villeroy & Boch china and ceramics; the factory offers special prices on regular stock, and also sells slightly flawed items at low prices.

Good buys include designer fashions, perfume, cosmetics, chocolates, gold jewelry, silverware, semiprecious stones, crystal and liqueurs. Bargains can be found at the flea markets in Luxembourg City.
