As far as scuba goes, we stayed at Bird Rock Beach Hotel on our last trip, and there was a certified scuba company operating from the pier in front of the hotel. I'm not positive, but I think there are only a few operators on the islands. If you go to the hotel's website you'll find info about the scuba outfit.
But judging from the title of your post and the fact that the kids'll be home ... well, with the spectacularly gorgeous scenery, the soft warm nights with the moon and stars reflecting from the Caribbean, the candlelight drinks and meals ... um, how much "adventure" will you have the time and energy for?
