Yes, we did stay at Island Paradise, but in a condo that is not in the "condo pool" on their website. We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very small though, with stove and fridge, but nothing else and no "homey" extras.
We went back to SK not even a year later and stayed at TBR, which we loved. We were fortunate to meet Anne in person, who also owns a condo at IP. She was nice enough to show us her condo at Island Paradise. Now, what as condo!! It is absolutely gorgeous, with ALL of the "homey" amenities you would want or need from nice candles to spices. The unit is splendidly decorated in Caribbean island style, not Floridian style. It was huge and quite roomy, yet so comfortable and cozy.
We would definitely stay at IP again, without a doubt. It is ocean front and has a gorgeous immaculate pool. Aside the pool is a grilling area, which was perfect to cook steaks on, which we did as well as other meals. The Manager was very nice and real friendly.
A perfect place for couples who are looking for a "self-catering" stay. PJ's, the restaurant right in front, had excellent food at family prices. It would be great for families as well. The only reason I thought of TBR for families was because of the restaurant really. It is right on the premises and if the little ones get hungry, it would be convenient, but I forgot about PJ's. It was actually being renovated on our stay at IP.
I still love TBR though and would also go back in a heartbeat. We loved the beach/water and snorkeled there every day. We shelled, ate, enjoyed the sunsets, and the views. The rooms we had, both times, were fantastic. They were both perfect and immaculate, with everything we needed. The staff was wonderful and the food was great.
