That's a tough one and really depends on your taste. My husband and I got back from a week in St. Kitts on Friday and we enjoyed the Marriott, while others say they prefer the more intimate inns, villas and plantation houses. We visited them and they are all great with great food, but just not for us. We like to be on the beach, have a nice pool, jacuzzi and facilities like a fitness center and nearby golf (both of which were closed during our stay) on property car rental, choice of restaurants & bars, etc. Others like the intimacy of a small inn. Most of the inns or plantation houses don't seem to be close to the beach or to dive centers. For what it's worth-- we went to Nevis for a 1/2 day and visited Montepelier(had a fantastic breakfast there) which is very charming, the well kept botanical garden just down the road, and a few artist galleries.
