My husband and I just got back from Nevis on Monday. It was our second time on the island, we were married there one year ago. This time we stayed at Hurricane Cove Bungalow and we highly recommend it. You can't beat the view from your private Bungalow. We stayed in Banana, which doesn't have a private pool, but you really don't need one if you love the beach. Oualie Beach is a short walk away (down hill). They also have a nice hotel right on the beach but the view from Hurricane Cove is much better.
When we were married, we stayed at the Nisbet Planation (fantastic meals are included)which is also beautiful however it is on the Atlantic Side of the Island so the water is not as clam and clear.
