Didn't mean to confuse anyone but rather tried to honestly address Doug's concerns. At Nisbet the closest rooms are set back several hundred feet from the beach and the furthest rooms are set back several hundred yards. They are not what you'd call beachfront or what I'd describe as a typical beach view room (although I do admit you have a limited view of the water from a number of the rooms). Doug's post said it was MOST important for him to "have a room on the beach" therefore Oualie meets that criteria since all the rooms there are essentially beachfront. In addition, Doug had other concerns that give Oualie Beach the nod. The rooms there overlook the Caribbean (Nisbet overlooks the Atlantic), you get views of the sunset, and the swimming is better at Oualie and the rooms are somewhat less expensive than at Nisbet. That said, I personally feel that Nisbet is a much better resort than Oualie and agree wholeheartly with you that Nisbet is much more romantic and has better food. Doug questions dealt more with the physical layout of the resort. He didn't ask which was the better better resort, had he done so I would have recommended Nisbet.
