Hi Mary,

My husband travels quite a bit and he always stays at a Mrriott so we can get the points for a free vacation. Your likes sound similar to my likes except I LOVE to lie at a nice beach. My favorite Marriott Resort has been the Aruba Vacation Club at Palm Beach. The beach is quiet and perfect, the pool is fantastic and we stayed at a brand new 1 BR time share for the price of a regular room.

We've gone to Puerta Vallarta, it has a fantastic pool but the beach wasn't so great. But Puerto Vallarta is a great Mexican destination.

We've also been to Grand Cayman. We LOVED Grand Cayman (I'm an avid diver) but the Marriott sucks. I repeat..it sucks. I've stayed at better Fair field inns :0) When we were there (December 2002) the beach was completely wiped away by the last tropical storm. I literally had my head resting on a sand bag while laying out by the miniscule pool. The Grand Cayman Marriott should NOT be a category 6 and believe me, I told them.

We haven't been to Curacao or St. Kitts and will try both. Have fun!
