Stayed there last fall, and someplace in the forum records for Nov/Dec '02 there's a complete report, but briefly: very adequate facilities, good service at the restaurant and bar (on our visit, the front desk personnel seemed kinda spaced-out), decent though unchanging meals, nice bar area overlooks Basseterre harbor and is a great place to catch the sunset or have lunch or dinner watching the lights of Basseterre and the boats in the harbor. Rooms unprepossessing and a little small but clean and air conditioned. Nice small pool, access to a very small beach area and a snack bar/bar which was under construction when e were there, right beside the dive shop. I liked the location; close to Basseterre but easy to either go right to the peninsula (Marriott, beaches, Turtle Bay, etc). or go around town to go to the northwest road (Ottley's, Golden Lemon, Rawlins, etc.)
On balance, it was a very laid-back place to stay -- kinda the anti-Marriott, with local teachers' conferences and the like happening in the conference room, the dive shop ex-pat from the US with his girlfriend at the bar every night, the railroad guys drinking whisky at the bar after work watching for the green flash ... kinda like fodder for a short story. Finally, if you consider the price for an air/room package the cost/benefit is certainly there.
