I'll offer the other side
Just returned from a 9 day trip to St Kitts. Had absolutely no problem with anybody, except some heavy "ganja" smoking by two hotel employees in my hallway at the Marriott that were dealt with swiftly by security. I found the people everywhere to be more friendly than any other travel spot, including the US.
Positives from the trip
- Ate at Spratnet twice. Food, ambiance and price were all top notch
- Other dining spots that were superb - PJs, Marshalls, Italian at the Marriott, Oualie Resort on St Kitts, Turtle Beach
- Other dining needing work - Marriot steak restaurant - still working out kinks
- Also - Marriott poolside dining was great, and not very expensive as previously reported.
Marriott - Very nice accomodations, very nice staff, best hotel based snack/gift shop I've experienced, for simple gifts and great snacks and drinks. Despite no one's recommendation, best snorkeling on the island (better than Shitten Bay, Friars South, Banana Bay, Turtle Beach.
Volcano Tour/Hike - went with Truck from TDC. It was more strenous than indicated but interesting
ATV Fun Bikes - very much fun, great trip
Sailing - fantastic day sail with Seadreamer/Les Windley
