Hi Debi,

Just returned and the swimming and snorkeling were great at Timothy. Also, the pool area above was so peaceful and relaxing. We went to Turtle Beach, the far end of North Frigate Bay, Sand Bank and Friars and the best snorkeling was just in front of our hotel. The water was calm and clear (no need to fight the waves) and we saw a lot of fish around the little rock jetty. There were butterfly fish, doctor fish, porcupine fish (cute, but do not touch), squirrel fish, trumpetfish, dragonets, and others. There were even a few tiny fish right as we put our toes into the water at the base of the steps. Further on beyond the jetty, there were also various pretty corals - fans, chimneys, etc as well as some interesting anemones and the sea urchins which you see all over St. Kitts. Nothing really big fish or coral wise, but all very beautiful and fascinating. It would make a lovely small marine park and I hope the government does something to protect these areas around the island. There were three of us swimming and my friend who is a biology teacher was totally entranced.

We stayed in a suite and it was as nice as anywhere we've been. Whatever you decide, you'll enjoy!

Jo Ann
