Timothy Beach is a great place to stay and is at the top of the list for my husband and I (38 and 40). The location is fantastic - right on the calm waters of the caribbean and away from "resort alley" right across the street down the road. The snorkeling is real good right at the resort and kept us wanting more.
The suite we stayed in on our most recent trip was huge with every amenity you could want. Very roomy and spotless. Each room is brightly decorated differently from one another. A very short walk brings you to the beach where your children can shell till their little hearts content. I brought home such a fantastic assortment from that beach. The water is very clean and calm and you will see a variety of sealife there.
It is quite unfair to rate this resort a 1 star. We consider it a 3 star resort; which seems to be the concensus. The hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly, and the beachfront restaurant is very good and spacious.
The prices are very reasonable and comfortable for a couple or a family. You can enjoy the island without spending a fortune at your hotel. Just because the rooms are not $400.00 a night does not take anything away from the resort itself. When we return, we will definitely stay there again and again. The pictures on the website accurately epict the resort. It is a fun place. You can invest the money you saved on your hotel into the numerous activities to choose from on the island.
