I thought the beach was fine but I have not been to any other Caribbean islands. There were a couple small pieces of trash in the water that were more than likely washed in from elsewhere. I go to a fairly remote beach in Maine every summer and there is more trash there. I didn't really sit on the beach too much but we did some snorkeling there.

I enjoyed the resort but I understand that it is not glamorous and not for everyone. You will probably never see it on the Travel Channel. It was however exactly what we were looking for - clean, quiet, friendly and I was able to see the monkeys everyday. The sunset was beautiful. The restaurant was pretty good. We also had a bottle of champagne waiting in our room (our 10th anniversary).

We loved the Shiggedy Shack but we are casual people.

My husband and I walked to the Marriott and it was very nice but not a place for us. We plan on returning to TBR with our kids in the future.

People seem to get very defensive and territorial with their favorite places. How boring (and crowded) would life be if we all liked the same places.
