I wanted to give everyone some great information. In November I planned a wedding in St.Kitts through Kantours. They were excellent down to every detail. Our ceremony was on South Friars beach in the late afternoon. When we arrived the beach was clear, there was a tent set-up for people to get out of the sun and the champagne was cold. The ceremony was great and all that attended were very impressed with how well planned this was. The cameraman and the videogrpaher met us at the hotel to get pictures prior to the ceremony and they did an excellent job at capturing the entire event. We were very impressed with the photo album we received and the photographer was also kind enough go give all of the prints that he took (about 250 pictures).
Afterwards they planned a sunset cruise on the Irie Lime for us with a steak and lobster dinner (excellent food, probably the best we had on the island except for La Cucina at the Marriott) that was grilled on the back of the boat while they played music for everyone to dance to. The crew was great at keeping everyone happy and they even went out their way to teach those who want how to dance to the different songs. They played whatever music we wanted and had a great time along with us. I cannot tell you enough good things about how great this crew and boat was!

As for the rest of the island I will give you my quick opinion. I travel in the Caribbean on business extensively throughout the year (approx. 80 night per year) and the Marriott is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The employees at the Marriott, and the people in St.Kitts for the most part, were extremely pleasant and happy to help you out however needed. In fact on afternoon y father-in-law got a flat tire and a gentleman ran over to help out. As soon as the tire was replaced he disappeared before anyone could thank him or offer to by him a beer. Although the Marriott is new and of course going through some troubles with getting every trained there were only minor incontinences during our stay, such as the wrong order one night at Calypso Restaurant and bartenders who did not know many drinks. The pool is great and the women loved the water aerobics every day. The Keys bar was an excellent place to relax in the evening and the hot tub was open all night for after the bar. The happy hour at the pool was good deal, 2 for 1 frozen drinks.
The taxi services are wonderful and fairly cheap compared to most places I have been. Best of all you have a local who is proud to tell you about anything you want to know or even just drive you around pointing out things you would normally not see on your own. Taxis are a great way to get around if you do not want to drive, about half of our group that went relied on taxis for the entire time there.
Gregs Safari was also much better than we expected from a plantation tour. Greg has unbelievable knowledge about the island and the vegetation/animals there. He made sure that we saw everything we wanted and that everyone had a good time.
The Brimstone fort and Black Rocks were a great trip. We took a day and just drove around the island and stopped at sites like this. There are many nice spots you can find just driving along.
