Air Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda Department of Tourism, New York Office Host Press Luncheon 

New York, NY… December 18, 2003 – Air Jamaica and the New York Office of Antigua and Barbuda Department of Tourism, co-coordinated and co-sponsored a Press Luncheon held in New York today at the 3 West Club on 51st Street in Manhattan. 

The purpose of this conference was to officially announce Air Jamaica’s new, four-weekly, non-stop champagne service from JFK to V.C. Bird International, which becomes effective January 29, 2004.

The gathering of journalists comprised of some of the most prestigious journalists within the travel industry.

In attendance were the Hon. Molwyn Joseph Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mr. David Fernandez, Director of Tourism, USA, the Hon. Dr. Gordon Butch Stewart, Chairman of Air Jamaica, and the newly appointed Vice President of Air Jamaica, Mr. Michael Goings.

Also in attendance was the Representative for Hawksbill Beach Resort, Mr. John Lasater, and Representing the Elite Group (Galley Bay, Royal Antiguan, St. James Club, Allegro Pineapple) were Mr. Steve Heydt and Mr. Rod Hynes, and Marcella Martinez for Jolly Beach Resort.
